LEGACY
Our legacy

Four decades of resin chemistry. One standard of quality.

Founded in 1980 on India's west coast, Westcoast Polymers is a second-generation, family-led manufacturer of synthetic resins, and part of the same group as Asian Polymers, one of India's leading resin producers.

Two generations of resin scienceOur leadership carries a cumulative 50 years of experience in synthetic-resin research and manufacturing.
Group manufacturing strengthShared chemistry, quality systems and supply capability across the group's operations in west and south India.
Formulated to your processEvery grade is tuned to the customer's press cycle, substrate and climate, not sold off the shelf.

Our products

Six resins. Six changes of state.

Every resin we make changes character as it is made: clear to milky, white to glass-clear, liquid to amber glass. Controlling each change is the job. Each one is manufactured in-house and tested on every batch.

The bond line

Where our chemistry ends up

  1. 01 / 04

    The bridge

Formaldehyde is the link. In every resin we make with it, it bridges phenol, urea or melamine molecules into a growing network, one small carbon bridge at a time.

    The bridge
  2. 02 / 04

    The resin

Thousands of those links make a resin: a liquid with exactly the flow, tack and cure speed a customer’s process needs. That balance is what we tune batch by batch.

    The resin
  3. 03 / 04

    The bond line

In a finished panel, all of that chemistry ends up as a line thinner than a sheet of paper. It is the part of the board nobody sees, and the part that holds it together.

    The bond line
  4. 04 / 04

    The product

Ply on ply and sheet on sheet, that line becomes plywood, laminates and molded parts built to last for decades. It is what our work comes down to.

Research & development

Chemistry, advanced in partnership

We work with leading academic institutions to keep our resin systems current, and back it with batch-level discipline in our own laboratory.

PROCESS
How we work

From monomer to dispatch

An integrated line of procurement, production, quality testing, sales and logistics carries every batch from raw material to your gate.

01

Procurement

Raw materials such as urea, melamine, phenol, formaldehyde, polyols and monomers, sourced against incoming-inspection standards.

02

Reaction & synthesis

Temperature- and pH-controlled reactions in jacketed reactors, monitored end-point by end-point.

03

Quality testing

Every batch is checked in-house against its grade specification before release.

04

Dispatch & logistics

Barrels, bags, IBCs and tankers scheduled to your production calendar, with a certificate of analysis on every consignment.

CSR
Corporate social responsibility

Responsibility beyond chemistry

Aligned to the ISO 26000 framework, we invest in the schools, playgrounds and environment of the communities where we work.

SINCE 1980
